I have passion for design strengthened by a comprehensive understanding of building technology and general technical skills. I have a creative and energetic personality that allows me to communicate my designs, not only to clients but also my team. My experience includes concept design, project documentation, service coordination and team management. My concept design abilities are enhanced by strong sketching skills, which help me convey my ideas, I am also able to follow through to design development with capabilities in both Revit and AutoCAD. My experience is in design and supervision of big budget projects mainly in design and coordination of retail, health facilities, hotels, airports, residential and office buildings. I also been involved in smaller and medium projects. I joined SVA International as a Project Architect in 2011 and was promoted to Associate and subsequently to Associate Executive in 2014. In my previous job I was involved, as site Architect, on the “King Shaka International” airport in Durban, acting on behalf of Osmond Lange Architects I was responsible for the Main Terminal Building (TMB) and the Multistory Parking Building (MSP). In the year 2005 I relocated from Bogota, Colombia, my country of origin, to Durban, as Senior Project Architect for Basil Vogas Architects, I joined the company as an expat. due to my previous experience in hospital design. BVA is a Durban based company with multimillion projects in Cape Town and Johannesburg. With them I was in charge of the design and documentation for the Blauwberg hospital façade and Atrium, a 165-bed hospital in Cape Town for Netcare Industries of (23,000 M2), From 1994 - 2002, I worked for Cuellar Serrano Gomez S.A one of the most prestigious construction companies in Bogota. I was involved in the development of big budget healthcare projects hotels and office buildings. I also worked as a Project Architect for office, residential and Institutional developments. I have a 5 year B.Arch degree from the Javeriana University in Bogota, Colombia and studied 13 years at the Anglo Colombian School, a bilingual I.B school, also in Bogota. I have traveled around Europe, America and Africa and enjoy social interaction and networking. I strongly believe in teamwork in order to achive goals. I’m looking for a job as a Associate Director or Design Director.
